This is my original BMX bike. I bought the bike complete when my Pro Am Raider was stolen in 1981. This bike came with heavy old steel wheels, box bars, Mongoose double stem and a quilted saddle. I built it up like this over time, then many of the higher end parts went on to my nickle plated Panda Pro Am in 1982. This bike was relegated to street riding when I bought the Pro Am, and was stolen from the side of my parents house on Staten Island in 1984. I purchased the frame in this condition from Darren Chan (DCBMX) and began my restoration.

I stripped the paint and smoothed all the welds by hand, and sent the frame out to ASCO for sparkle sky blue powdercoat.
